Horns of Havoc

Puyallup High School’s Horns of Havoc First Robotics Team 3393 is a hardworking group of diverse, dedicated students. We aim to work with other teams and members of the Puyallup community to build valuable relationships and robots. There are five groups working within the team to ensure we finish our robot and maintain a high level of quality and professionalism from our first meeting to our last. The build team does the work of assembling the robot over a period of six development weeks between the reveal of the competition and the close of the build season. The design team uses Autodesk Fusion 360 to virtually map and represent our bot, and to ensure quality in appearance and function. The programming team uses Java, along with a single board computer and radio, to control the robot remotely and program its’ every action, including the 15 second autonomous period at the beginning of each match, in which the robot controls itself. The fundraising and marketing team gather donations from sponsors to purchase parts and fund residence at every level of competition, also working to maintain contemporary design language for our uniforms, website and competition pits. Together, we seek to make an impact in our community along with growth and recognition in STEM fields. It is, after all, so much more than just a robot.
