Power Up Pre-Season Update Week 7

December 13, 2017 at 4:47 PM by Brennan Roberts

As Kickoff for the 2018 competition draws nearer and individuals' roles are made official, groups are beginning to congregate and more efficiently complete their respective tasks. In the area of Computer Aided Design (CAD), members are beginning to take measurements of some of our preexisting parts especially those in common use. Along with models based on these measurements, some more complicated and universal resources are being pulled from a pool of collective resources available online. The Build department is continuing to put together our teams' demonstration bot, which we are currently accepting name suggestions for. Wiring is reverse engineering our previous bots in order to gain a better understanding of what is required for a capable and competitive machine in tournaments while their ever important counterpart, programming, is advancing the knowledge of new members and familiarizing themselves with the new technology. In the Robotics team's meeting this week, things have truly begun to be set into motion.
