Power Up Build Season Update Week 1

January 12, 2018 at 6:38 PM by Brennan Roberts

It is now the end of our first official full week in build season. Much has yet to be accomplished but progress is being made. In our fundraising department, letters continue to be sent out to prospective sponsors at a rate that has been everyday increasing. On January 11th, a bake sale was held at the local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) benefitting our team along with their original donation. The building of the robot is also underway now that we are into build season, with our prototyped solutions being implemented quickly in order to meet our ambitious deadline in just a few weeks. To go along with the robot's progress, programming has also begun work. At our current pace, we expect to have much time to do proper testing of the bot and fine-tune movements especially those pertaining to the autonomous portion of the game. If we could accurately estimate success from only the first week, it would seem that things are definitely looking up for us.
